EV Charging
We help clients save money by supplying and installing EV chargers in homes and businesses throughout the UK.
What's EV Charging?
Contact UsElectric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles operate similarly to any other chargeable devices or electronics. They are connected to a charging point, drawing electricity from the grid. In the UK, most chargers are Type 2, featuring a seven-pin design and powered by alternating current (AC).
The most popular kind, a 7kw charger, has a far greater charging capacity and speeds up EV charging, usually requiring 6 to 8 hours. Installing a 22kw charger at your home or business is possible, though this will depend on whether you need a three-phase energy supply. Make sure your car can handle speeds higher than 7kw as well. 22kw can charge your car three times more quickly.
Government Grants
Contact UsThe availability of government grants, which can cover up to 75% of eligible applicants' expenses, is a big benefit for businesses. In order to be eligible, your company must employ 249 people or fewer, offer off-street parking, follow fire safety guidelines, and meet additional requirements. You could receive up to 5 grants for 5 different businesses.
EV CHARGING
ALL THE BENEFITS
Saving on Expenses
The expense of setting up a personal electric charger is almost half that of using charging stations located in public areas. Compared to petrol, both choices are more affordable. Although it is possible to plug into a 3-pin UK socket, these sockets are not made to support large electric loads.
Home Charging
One significant advantage of home charging is the rise in property value. Green initiatives in both businesses and homes can enhance the value, as future-proofing appeals to potential buyers. According to the Property Buying Company, a property with a charger may see a 30% increase in value.
Future Proofing
Chargers improve the appeal of your business to customers, clients, and possible investors. In addition, employees are looking for methods to cut costs due to the rising cost of living in the UK, which makes having an EV charging station at work an excellent staff retention strategy.
Environment Benefits
Maisum always prioritises environmental sustainability and collaborates with partners who share this ethos. Owning an electric vehicle and charging it at home results in little emissions. With the UK’s goal of achieving a net-zero society by 2050, transitioning to electric vehicles is a positive step forward.
